- This outfit or the separate garments are available to order only. A complete outfit will cots in the region of £2,000 but this may vary depending on what type of silk is used to make up the garments. The silk used to make the above sample is Eri silk but other types of silks or other fabrics can also be used. Please contact Anne Fontenoy for more information.

The complete re-usable wedding outfit, comprising a simple, elegant, bias cut wedding
dress, long line jacket, bias cut tunic, with lace, and detachable train that can
be used as a silk wrap, is for sale priced £2,000 including the silk, head dress
and wrist corsage. The wedding dress, tunic and jacket are designed with some bias
cutting which gives a flexible fit to this one-off creation which is a dress size
10 to 12.
The veil and flowers used for the wedding head dress and wrist corsage are vintage.
The outfit is trimmed with “re-used” lace and buttons. The buttons have been covered
with some of the spun silk.
SPUN SILK - a 100% silk fabric
sometimes known as “Peace Silk” or Ahimsa Silk, is a way of making silk that lets the moths live their natural life cycle before taking the silk from their cocoons to make into fabric.
- Traditionally made silk
- Spun rather than reeled
- Hand woven silk fabric
- Natural colours e.g. ivory, cream, pastel and soft browns and natural gold.
- Vegetable dyes used for coloured silks
There is a large range of Spun Silk fabrics available to order from my supplier for my designs in a wide variety of textures and colours. These fabrics are made from silk from Eri, Tussah and Muga moths.
Please note that although I am can order this Silk for my designs for clothes, I am not a fabric supplier.
